Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet
Learn the art of classical ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Syllabus, one of the worlds most recognized training systems. Classical ballet is the basis for all styles of dance that teaches you balance, co-ordination, strength, flexibility, poise and grace while developing musicality and artistry. We deliver a high standard of correct technique while fostering a love for this beautiful art form. We offer examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance for dedicated and passionate students.
Creative movement classes have a strong emphasis on FUN! Starting from age 2 years old, children will be introduced to the basics of classical ballet and dance, through imaginative classes that develop co-ordination and motor skills. With our safe training techniques, your child’s confidence will build and it’s a wonderful way to make new friends!
Kick, turn and leap your way into life with our upbeat jazz classes. Jazz dance is a style that has always been influenced by popular culture and the trends of today’s world. Styles of jazz can vary due to the different tempo and rhythms of the music that is used. From high energy, fast paced movements to smooth and stylish choreography; jazz is always an exciting class that you don’t want to miss!
Lyrical dance blends the elements of classical and modern ballet, with contemporary and jazz dance into one. Using expressive movements that can be fluid, yet abstract, this style has a strong use of conveying emotion through movement and self-interpretation of the music.
Does your child love to whip out cartwheels and handstands whenever possible? Do they dream of learning cool tricks and back flips like the performers of Cirque Du Soleil? Well look no further because this class is calling for you! This class will feature all the co-ordination, balance and agility needed to accomplish highly skilled acrobatic movements. Confidently learn the precise techniques to master such steps with a strong emphasis on safety first.
Song and Dance is a musical theatre based class where children learn to sing songs from their favourite movies, well-known musicals and popular children’s songs while incorporating dance movements. A live pianist and vocal coach accompany this class.
Stretch and Strength
This class is designed to improve the dancers range of motion, enhance muscle flexibility and increase strength to keep up with the technical demands required in dance. This class is the perfect addition for those who wish to improve at a faster rate in their usual style of dance.
Performance Team is by invitation or audition only, for committed and dedicated dancers who wish to gain performance experience for competitions and eisteddfods. Performance team members will learn group pieces and solos/duos/trios in various styles to compete with and perform in our annual concert. Please enquire with Miss Anastasia for more information.

What should I wear?
Anything comfortable to move in is perfect for the trial lesson such as a t-shirt and leggings or any dance clothes you might already own. Bare foot or soft shoes is fine too.
Once you enrol into the class, you can try on our uniform at the studio and order your uniform in the parent portal online store.
Can I stay to watch the trial class?
During the term we hold closed classes. However, if your child is a little shy or nervous you a welcome to stay with them for their first trial lesson. Our Creative Movement classes for 2-4 years is open for parents to watch every class!
What is the trial class cost?
New students will be billed from their trial class date. If you do not wish to enrol after your trial lesson, you will not be charged at all.
Do you take enrolments all year?
Yes! You can enrol anytime in the year. If you join in the middle of a term your fees will be prorated.
How do I enrol into the class after my trial lesson?
Once you’ve completed your trial lesson, log into your parent portal account and select ‘register for classes’. Tick the classes you would like to enrol for and ‘submit’ at the bottom of the page. You should receive a confirmation email of your chosen classes.
