Miss Anastasia

Miss Anastasia

Anastasia began dancing classical ballet at the age of 3, in the UK where she was born and instantly fell in love with dancing. While living in the UK, Anastasia completed her Royal Academy of Dance examinations, from pre-primary to grade 4 with high distinctions at her local dance school. At 8 years old she then auditioned for the Northern Ballet in Leeds, and was accepted into their junior programme. After 2 years training with them, at just 10 years old, Anastasia was then invited by the Northern Ballet Company to dance with the company members, in seasons of performances including A Christmas Carol and The Nutcracker.

When she arrived in Australia with her family at 11 years of age, she auditioned for SCECGS Redlands Ballet and was invited by John Byrne (FRAD) to join their full dance programme. Over her 4 years at Redlands, she trained in many styles including RAD Ballet, Vaganova method Ballet, Contemporary, Martha Graham Contemporary, Jazz (Commercial, Lyrical, Broadway, Bob Fosse), Hip hop, National dance, Pilates, Stretch and Strengthening, Dance History/appreciation, Music, Nutrition and Safe Dance Practice.

At 15, Anastasia left school and auditioned for The Conlan College of Classical Ballet. She was accepted into their selective full-time programme, where she was taught by prestigious international and local teachers, and completed her academic studies through Sydney Distance Education. Later she moved to the Sydney Ballet School’s full-time programme to continue her classical training. Throughout her part-time and full-time ballet training in Australia, she completed all of her Vocational Royal Academy of Dance exams, from Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2 with high distinctions.

Anastasia’s strong interest for anatomy in relation to dancers, led her to enrol into an Anatomy and Physiology course, which she completed at the Nature Care College in Sydney in 2012.

Anastasia gained her teaching experience by freelancing at various schools across Sydney. She covers a wide range of dance styles, age groups and skill levels. She is experienced in preparing students for exams, auditions and competitions, and loves to choreograph for all ages and levels (solos and groups). Anastasia accomplished her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the Royal Academy of Dance in 2015, and is now a Royal Academy of Dance Registered Teacher.
